Ten years ago we (and by ‘we’ I mean Dave) tried to get a job in the Middle East. It didn’t happen then, much to the chagrin of our older two daughters. They would have loved the experience. It’s not easy to land one of these plumb jobs. You need some experience and success in your career. (Yay Dave!).
And now here we are ten years later on the eve of our departure. It’s a little surreal.
The house is sold, furniture is sold, one of two cars are sold, the other car is all polished and ready and has already had her photo shoot and is now on Kijiji (thanks Ralph!). Bags are packed (mostly), goodbyes are said…it’s onward and upward. I can hardly believe it.
We fly out tomorrow night (August 17th) around 8:00 p.m. and arrive in Qatar on the 18th around 2:00 in the afternoon local time (7:00 a.m. our time).
Butterflies!
I have butterflies for you.. safe journey. xxx
I’m sending big hugs and prayers all the way…
God’s timing… it can be a difficult thing to accept sometimes, but then there are other times like you/now when it is a thing of beauty and a joy to behold, eh?
God bless your journey and this new adventure!!
Yahooooo!!!! Bon voyage!! Love you and soooo excited for you!
And I am still crying…..but tears of thankfulness for our friendship Tracie. Healthy, safe journey to you, Dave and Honour. Bon Voyage……
